Two Harbors Plans Special Offer for Fall Mooring

TWO HARBORS — As the weather begins to get cooler and the busy summer boating season comes to an end, fall is an ideal time for boaters to cruise to Catalina Island and experience a less-crowded Two Harbors.

Visitors who want to escape the crowds will appreciate Two Harbors’ “Buy Two, Get One Free” promotion, designed to help entice boating visitors to enjoy a three-night stay at a mooring during autumn.

“Fall is one of the best times to visit Two Harbors,” said Armando Eason, Two Harbors’ harbormaster. “The weather is great, the air and water are still warm, and the clarity of the water is best of any time during the year.”

Beginning Sept. 8, boaters can stay two nights in the Isthmus, Fourth of July Cove or Cherry Cove and stay a third night for free. The offer is valid Sundays through Thursdays from Sept. 8-Oct. 21. The offer excludes holiday or event weekends, with blackout dates Sept. 29-Oct. 9.

“This is your chance to travel 18 miles from San Pedro or Long Beach, yet be thousands of miles away,” Eason said. “Two Harbors is one of the best kept secrets in Southern California. As the (local) saying goes, you can tell it’s fall in Two Harbors: no crowds, and the weather is perfect.”

The offer is based on space available; first come, first served. For more information, go to visitcatalinaisland.com.
