Cat Maffet Joins The Log as Sales Representative

IRVINE — Cat Maffet, a boating business professional with 17 years of experience in the Southern California marine industry, has joined The Log Newspaper as sales representative. She is now The Log’s Regional Advertising Manager for Orange County/Los Angeles/Ventura and is the Regional Ad Manager for San Diego Sales.

Maffet is an experienced skipper with big boat experience, along with extensive knowledge of Southern California boating and the SoCal marine industry. Throughout her career, Maffet has made many friends in the boating community.

She holds a U.S. Coast Guard 100-ton master’s license and has run both the 100-foot Electra motoryacht and the 115-foot Athena yacht for Electra Cruises in Newport Beach. On weekends, Maffet operates a 67-foot Chris-Craft Commander charter yacht, White Light.

Maffet has cruised to destinations throughout Southern California, she likes sportfishing and she enjoys being out on the water, outside the local harbors. “There is nothing like a good day on the water — especially when the dolphins and whales are out there,” she said.

Maffet said she is looking forward to her new responsibilities at The Log — and to working with many of the people she has had the opportunity to meet over nearly two decades in boating.

“Cat has numerous contacts in the marine industry, and she will be an excellent fit to represent The Log,” said Janette Hood, director of advertising sales and operations manager for the Duncan McIntosh Co. — publisher of The Log, Sea Magazine, Boating World Magazine and Editor & Publisher, and producer of the Newport Boat Show and the Lido Boat Show. “We’re glad to have her aboard.”
