JK3 Welcomes Two New Additions

SAN DIEGO – JK3 Yachts welcomes Diego Gomez and Geoff Swing to the team

Swing, who has been working on yachts around in Newport Beach, Calif., for about 30 years, will use his boating experience to help find that perfect boat for clients or locate a qualified buyer for their current boat. He has established a prestigious clientele and developed countless long-standing relationships with vendors, tradespeople and shipyards in the Newport Beach area.
Swing received his 100-ton certification from Orange Coast College’s School for Sailing and Seamanship and was invited back as an instructor. He plans on pursuing his 500-ton certification in the near future.

As a recent addition to the JK3 team, Swing looks forward to the opportunity to utilize his experience and share both his expertise and individualized customer service.

Gomez joins JK3 Yachts from the world of Super Yachts where he organized and operated the Super Yacht Facility for the 34th America’s Cup in San Francisco in 2013. Prior to that, he has worked in nearly every sector of the marine industry and brings a wealth of knowledge to the JK3 team.

He has lived and sailed in Australia, New Zealand, and all around the Atlantic and Mediterranean coasts of Europe on everything from small, high performance dinghies to large offshore racing yachts. More recently, after graduating from the University of San Francisco, Diego took a position with the prestigious race management team at St. Francis Yacht Club hosting and running hundreds of regattas during his tenure there. Through that experience, Diego has also developed strong relationships with many vendors, service providers, and marinas in the Bay Area.

His experience managing and maintaining yachts of all sizes, both power and sail, enables him to help his clients through every stage of their boat ownership journey. From researching their first purchase and ensuring it is the right fit, through maintaining and protecting their investment, and eventually selling or upgrading, Diego will take the time to listen, advise, and ensure that every experience is enjoyable.

Diego is a licensed USCG 100GT Captain, a certified US Sailing Instructor, and experienced power boater who loves being on the water.
