Peter’s Landing Farmer’s Market Welcomes Boatersposted: 8/26/2013
The marina provides boaters with ample tie-up space at the guest slips located at the base of C Dock. From there, boaters can stretch their legs and take a break from the boat while stocking up on food items, before continuing their cruise.
Scott Seaton, manager of Peter’s Landing Marina, said he has seen several Huntington Harbour residents take the short trip from their slips to the marina to walk the aisles of the farmer’s market.
Peter’s Landing’s Farmer’s Market and Craft Fair hosts approximately 65 certified farmers and vendors selling produce, crafts, jewelry, clothes, art and much more. Anderson Art Gallery, Joe Fish, Mumbi’s Designs, Stumps and Trunks and Textiles by Tess are among the vendors attending.
Boaters can also grab a bite to eat from the many food vendors at the market, including Olive Wood Pizza and Winks Lobster Rolls. Live music by Tip Jar Poets adds a dash of fun to the Saturday morning happening.
Reservations are not required for guest slip use. “The slips are for people to come over and stop by the market or have something to eat at one of the restaurants,” said Lee Ostendorf, director of the Local Harvest Certified California Grown Farmers Markets.
Peter’s Landing’s Farmers Market and Craft Fair is held from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. every Saturday on Pacific Coast Highway between Anderson Street and 24th Street.
