Sailathon

The 16th annual Sailathon is happening in Pierpont Bay off the Ventura Pier on Sunday, Oct. 23. The event is open to all watercraft (from paddles to sails to motors) and benefits CAREGIVERS, a volunteer organization assisting the elderly. A skippers’ meeting is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. at Pierpont Bay Club. Vessels take to the course starting at noon. An awards reception begins at 4 p.m. at Anacapa Yacht Club with food, cocktails, auction and raffle. Catch the early bird special by Oct. 1.
