SUMMARY:Catalina Island Birding Excursion
DESCRIPTION:Join the Catalina Island Conservancy for a guided birding excursion into Catalina’s wildlands. Led by expert birder Laura Vandezande\, this immersive outing introduces participants to the island’s diverse bird populations\, their habitats\, calls\, and behaviors — all while exploring some of Catalina’s most scenic natural areas. \n  \nThe group will meet at the Trailhead Visitor Center in Avalon at 8:00 a.m. before boarding a shuttle into the interior. Participants will return to the Trailhead by 2:00 p.m. and encouraged to bring their own snacks and lunch\, binoculars\, water\, clothing layers\, sun protection\, long pants\, and sturdy shoes.
