The Catalina Island Museum will celebrate the opening of the new Ada Blanche Wrigley Schreiner Building. The grand opening celebration will include a ribbon cutting ceremony, and a film screening of “Jaws.” Special events will run from June 18-July 4 as part of the museum’s grand opening.

The public is invited to the city of Oceanside’s Fireworks Show. There will be music and food trucks prior to the show. Spectators are encouraged to arrive anytime after 6 p.m., park in the nearby lots, bring a beach chair, and walk to the viewing area on Rancho Del Oro Road.

The Long Beach Marine Bureau will hold an auction of impounded and abandoned vessels where boats are offered “as-is-where-is” All sale items are final. No vessel sold at the auction will be allowed in Long Beach marinas for a period of six months. Time: Boat inspection at 8 a.m.; bidding begins at 9 a.m.
The 81st annual Flight of the Lasers will be held in Newport Bay where more than 60 Lasers will race in the regatta.
