NEWPORT BEACH— Dennis Holland, the architectural mastermind behind the rebuild of the Shawnee, has died. He was 68
Holland passed away Monday, May 12 after a seven year battle with prostate cancer.

I was going through my Marine Corps memorable this past weekend (11/22/2020) and came across my time with Dennis and Betty Holland. I thought I would check on my long time ago friends only to find out about Dennis passing. He was a good and great man in my eyes. The last I saw or heard of him was when he and Julie where racing through Oklahoma in this old car. My heart and soul to you all.
m sorry for your loss. Dennis was an amazing person. I met him while still building the Pilgrim of Newport and have some great pictures of the kids including some taken from the cats cradle while anchored in Catalina. I had the business called Pristine Varnish. I would love getting these pics to your family. I think it was Amy in the sea weed ‘skirt’. Beautiful family.
