With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Paul Daubner, a beloved yacht broker, industry leader, and dear friend. Paul passed away peacefully on March 12th, with his devoted wife Kimberly by his side, following a courageous two-year battle with Stage IV cancer. His loss is deeply felt by the yachting community, where he dedicated over 30 years of his life as a skilled captain, technical superintendent, fleet manager, and highly respected yacht broker.
Paul’s legacy is one of loyalty, integrity, and unwavering commitment to his clients and colleagues. His passion for yachting was evident in every aspect of his career, where his expertise facilitated countless global yacht transactions and earned the trust of those who had the privilege of working with him. Beyond his professional achievements, Paul embraced life fully — finding peace on the water, adventure on the slopes, and joy in cycling. He carried a deep appreciation for the ocean, nature, and the thrill of exploration, which inspired those around him.
The impact of Paul’s passing resonates throughout the industry. Cromwell Littlejohn, President & CCO of N&J, expressed, “Paul was a guiding light in our industry. His absence will be deeply felt. Fair winds and following seas.” N&J Chairman Kevin Merrigan added, “He and his family will forever be members of our N&J family. We cannot convey how much he will be missed.”
Paul is survived by his loving wife Kimberly, his sons Max and Jackson, his cherished grandson Hayes, and his seven siblings. His warmth, kindness, and passion for life will be forever remembered by those who knew him.
In honor of Paul’s dedication to the maritime industry, a donation fund has been established in his name to support Cal Maritime, an institution he deeply valued through his work with their yacht donation program. For those who wish to contribute, details can be found at
