Get ready to celebrate the holiday season on the water at the 2024 Boxing Day Race! Entries close once the race begins, so sign up early to secure your spot. Take advantage of the early entry discount by registering before midnight on December 24, 2024.
Entry Information:
Indicate your boat’s class in the “Boat Type” field when submitting your entry. Eligible classes include Cape Cod Frosty, Naples Sabot, Lido 14, ILCA 6, Cal 20, Windsurfer LT, AC40, and more.
Prizes:
Participate in the Boxing Day Gift Exchange! Bring a surplus Christmas present (the tackier, the better) to be re-gifted as a take-home trophy for the winners.
Hospitality:
ABYC warmly welcomes all participants. The galley will be open daily, offering breakfast, bag lunches, and adult beverages. After racing, the club bar will also be open for post-regatta relaxation. Please note that only service dogs are permitted on the property, as per ABYC yard rules.
Parking and Storage:
Due to limited space, vehicle parking on ABYC grounds is restricted. Off-street parking is available in nearby municipal lots.

2025 New Year’s Day Race at San Diego Yacht Club

Event Details:
Ring in the New Year with an exciting day on the water at the 2025 New Year’s Day Race hosted by the San Diego Yacht Club. This event promises fun competition and camaraderie to kick off the sailing season.
Entry Information:
Entries must be submitted online by 10:00 a.m. on January 1, 2025. The entry fee is $25 per boat, and registration is open to all eligible boats. Classes include PHRF, ORR, One-Design, and Cruising Classes. Boats will be assigned to divisions based on entries received, and specific divisions will be outlined in the Sailing Instructions.
Race Format:
The first warning signal is scheduled for 11:55 a.m. The course will be defined in the Sailing Instructions and is expected to include a variety of distances suitable for different divisions.
Prizes:
Awards will be given to the top performers in each class, with trophies presented at a post-race gathering at the San Diego Yacht Club.
Hospitality:
SDYC invites all participants to enjoy its facilities before and after the race. Celebrate the start of 2025 with fellow sailors over food, drinks, and great company.

2024 DragonFlite 95 Holiday Invite

Event Details:
The 2024 DragonFlite 95 Holiday Invite at Long Beach Yacht Club invites radio-controlled sailing enthusiasts to compete in a single-class regatta on the scenic waters of Long Beach. This event offers a day of exciting races for DF95 class boats and a chance to connect with fellow sailors in a festive setting.
Registration and Eligibility:
- Open to all DF95 class radio-controlled sailboats.
- Entries are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, with a maximum of 25 participants. Additional entries will be waitlisted.
- Registration must be completed online by December 27, 2024, with a $15 entry fee payable by credit card.
- All boats must display clearly visible sail numbers for race identification.
Race Information:
- The Official Notice Board (ONB) is available online at www.lbyc.org.
- Courtesy hails will be made from the Long Dock, and competitors are expected to adhere to all race communications and rules.
