War Heroes on Water is an annual sportfishing tournament and fundraiser for Freedom Alliance, which is dedicated to helping combat-wounded Veterans heal from the physical and emotional wounds of war. Now in its sixth year, the event includes more than 300 Veterans in person and contributes proceeds to Freedom Alliance, a §501(c)(3) organization that offers programs supporting the rehabilitation needs of wounded service members, combat veterans, and military families
The multi-day event begins in Newport Beach on September 19 and concludes on September 23 with live weigh-ins and evening ceremonies on Catalina’s iconic Green Pier. The tournament combines world-class sportfishing with a heartfelt mission: honoring service, sacrifice, and resilience through community and camaraderie on the water.
