SAN DIEGO— Hubbs-SeaWorld Research Institute (HSWRI) will host a free, family-friendly program on Sunday, Oct. 5, 2025, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m., featuring a special screening of “On the Half Shell,” a mini-documentary on oyster farming in California. The event, part of San Diego Climate Week 2025 and its resiliency theme, will highlight how HSWRI and partners are advancing climate-resilient ecosystems and communities in Southern California.
Institute scientists Emily Kunselman, Yuanzi Huo, and Jordan Pritzl will be joined by academic collaborators to discuss sustainable seafood and ocean conservation. Location: Hubbs-SeaWorld Research Institute, 2595 Ingraham St., San Diego, CA. Admission: Free and open to all; bring the family.
