Question: What does the log know about Coast Guard regulations regarding commercial vessels over 40 feet reversing?
The US Coast Guard code I found says there will be horn blasts when reversing. All of the commercial vessels docked in Newport Beach FunZone are not abiding by any signaling codes. They are a hazard to other mariners. The public needs to be advised of the danger presented and the lack of code enforcement in Newport Beach prior to the Christmas boat parade season.
