Byline: The Log Staff SAN DIEGO COUNTY Oceanside Harbor July 17 • Noon Oceanside Harbor Police officers located a small sailboat capsized about a mile outside of the harbor, with three people on board: two adults and one 14-year-old. Officer David Cunniff was able to secure two of the passengers on a rescue boat. Oceanside Fire Department Lifeguard Division personnel and an Oceanside Police harbor unit responded aboard a second police rescue boat. The third person, who was standing on the capsized boat, was removed by lifeguards. The vessel was righted and towed in. ORANGE COUNTY Dana Point Harbor July 20 • 12:44 p.m. Orange County Sheriff’s Harbor Patrol officers towed a personal watercraft back to its rental company. July 20 • 4:35 p.m. Harbor Patrol officers towed a boat to J Cove. Newport Harbor July 14 • 11:19 a.m. Orange County Sheriff’s Harbor Patrol officers responded to a boat accident in which a 25-foot high-performance powerboat and a small vessel reportedly collided near the Newport Harbor jetty. Four people were sent to a local hospital and were treated for their injuries. July 25 • 7:38 p.m.  Harbor Patrol officers towed a boat to East Bayfront.
