WHAT: San Diego Coastkeeper, which protects and restores fishable, swimmable, drinkable waters in San Diego County, has partnered with Iconic Industry, Inc. to host a beach cleanup at Pacific Beach’s Crystal Pier. This effort is part of the company’s efforts to give back to one of their favorite places to live and work and inspire other companies to do more good.
WHY: In 2016, 6,568 volunteers removed 187,231 items of trash weighing 9,502 pounds total, but San Diego beaches still need our attention. To keep our aquatic playgrounds fishable and swimmable, Iconic Industry, Inc. joins San Diego Coastkeeper to remove trash from the beach before it can pollute coastal waters.
