Come down to the waterfront in Long Beach where Shoreline Village and Rainbow Harbor will be hosting a free community event celebrating Mardi Gras, the Christian holiday marking the last night of eating rich, fatty foods before the ritual fasting of the Lenten season. The event features live music, bead throws, a parade, a tarot card reader and novelty acts including a stilt walker, contortionist, accordion player, hula hoop dancers, samba dancers and more.
