The world’s top match racing skippers return to Long Beach for the 60th edition of The Congressional Cup, taking place April 30 through May 4, 2025. Hosted by the Long Beach Yacht Club, this iconic regatta is part of the prestigious World Match Racing Tour and is recognized by World Sailing as a World Championship event. First held in 1965, the Congressional Cup is the oldest continuously-run sailing match race regatta in the world and remains the only U.S.-based match racing event to carry this elite status.
Top-ranked sailors from around the globe will battle it out for the coveted Crimson Blazer — a symbol of excellence in yacht racing akin to golf’s Green Jacket — and a stepping stone to the America’s Cup. Spectators can enjoy free, stadium-style viewing from the Belmont Veterans Memorial Pier, dubbed the “Congressional Cup Stadium,” complete with live commentary and thrilling race action.
