TWO HARBORS — Wine connoisseurs can taste the latest in reds, chardonnays, syrahs and bubbly during Two Harbors 12th annual Wine Festival, Saturday, June 8.
The one-day event, hosted by Two Harbors Enterprises and the Avalon Rotary Club, is a tasting extravaganza featuring the finest in imported and regional wines.
Event sponsors will celebrate the festival’s 12-year anniversary by increasing its capacity — opening ticket sales to more than 600 attendees. Last year’s event sold out, with 550 attendees.
Once on site, tasters can walk from table to table, where more than 30 wineries will have designated stations.
“The Two Harbors Wine Festival is a truly unique event, with participation from some of the finest California wineries, popular local breweries and Mad Mike’s Gourmet Sausage,” said Leslie Boutillier, Two Harbors’ events and catering manager. “This event has a little something for everyone.”
Additionally, attendees can try their luck in a silent auction to benefit local island charities and scholarships for Avalon High School students. Wine baskets, framed photos of Two Harbors, gift certificates for Avalon and Two Harbors, boating supplies and beach baskets are a few of the items that will be up for bid.
The proceeds from wine festival directly benefit Avalon Rotary, one of the leading service clubs on Catalina Island. Tickets can be purchased for $50 through June 8 by calling (310) 510-4205.
