VENTURA— The entire month of March is dedicated to the 8th Annual Mermaid Month in the Ventura Harbor Village, with special events on March 19. From March 1-31, a mer-mazing, month-long celebration will be free to the public, except for vendor activities, dining, and retail merchandise.

Mermaid Month in the Ventura Harbor Village is a wonderful opportunity for sea lovers and families to engage in a myriad of ocean-inspired activities. From March 1-31, visitors can indulge in a host of fun activities and events, such as a Kid’s Free Scavenger Hunt, Surfrider Foundation Ventura Chapter beach clean-up, mermaid craft station, live music, dance party, pirate ship fun, and more. In addition, visitors can revel in seaside shopping, take to the sea on kayak, SUP paddle board, or electric boat, and indulge in succulent seafood and sweet treats from Ventura Harbor Village’s bars and restaurants. The celebration highlights the beauty and importance of the ocean and its inhabitants and encourages everyone to be mindful of keeping the oceans clean.
