1. Welcome to the Police State of California where the next item to require a Lic. For is to take a shit!!! It’s no Surprise that just because your associated law enforce your except from having to get a boating Lic Permit or what ever you want to call it. That’s Bull shit so an officer has never been on the water and he has more wxterance then a guy who spent 5 years in the Navy did 3 West Pac’s and crushed 3/4 of the world on a ship and now has has to get a Lic at age 60. When did we decide to make this a communist State most of the do gooder who want these law to generate income have never even been on a boat!! Just Doesn’t make sense to Me

2. The exception to the VOC planned for anyone operating a rental vessel is absolutely ridiculous and misses the intent of the law entirely. Spend a summer Sunday navigating Newport Beach or Marina Del Rey harbors and you will know why.

4. Using common sense logic, it seems that for safety here they shouldn’t have an exception for “Vessel operation in an organized regatta, vessel race, or water ski race”! These are just accidents waiting to happen in racing situations!

7. The people that need the education most are exempt (rental boats). This is just another way to” TAX THE RICH” and hire more state employees. We need this just like we need more DEMOCRATS in office.

9. Those of you that, moan and groan about this program, should sit on the back of my boat with me on any given weekend and see some of the stupid things that boaters do on the water. I am a retired police officer and have taken many boating courses. I am at present a Division Commander in the US Coast Guard Auxiliary and I firmly believe that everyone that wants to operate a boat should go through a Boating Safety Course given either by the US Coast Guard Auxiliary or the US Power Squadron in a classroom not just take a on-line course. No one should be exempt from taking the course and getting vessel operator’s card.

10. wow exempting people kills the use of this law. (one in which i cannot find any information on being voted in.) really shows all they want is more money so they can get bigger bonus’s. even better yet why is brown still in our states office after all the trash he talks about or president and his boss. just saying if i talk crap about my boss i am sure to lose my job. Guess its time to join the start people and leave this pos state #browniskillingcalifornia
