When you buy a big new piece of furniture, often the manufacturer will come and pick up your old piece—this process makes sense to us. However, when you buy pyrotechnic marine flares, and they expire, there is no order of operations for safe and proper disposal. The electronic flare is a direct replacement in the movement to remove all flares from recreational boats after the negative results of disposal and safety, in addition to the toxic nature of improper disposal.
