HUNTINGTON BEACH— The Huntington Beach Pier as we know it today had a long journey to get to where it is now. The pier was built in 1902, before the incorporation of Huntington Beach in 1909.

The opening is confusing: it says the pier was built in 1902, then it says it was originally built of wood in 1904. So is it 1902? Or 1904?

Also, Ruby’s has been closed for almost a year, since 2/26/2021. Make everything else in the article questionable.
